Role Overview:
As People & Talent Manager you’ll be the go-to for all things people related. Your duties will involve managing job role designs, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training &
development and talent management. This role plays a critical part in Jaded long-term success and ambitious growth plans. This is a hands-on role that will need some flexibility and someone excited by
the prospect of working for a small but rapidly growing company. You’ll be happy to roll up your sleeves and complete all tasks necessary to help make Jaded a great place to work.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Oversee and manage the performance management programme: assisting line managers in creating bespoke personal development plans for their teams, identifying development objectives
and supporting teams with recommendations for training (internal & external).
• Manage employee relations: by working towards positive solutions, addressing any issues by advising line managers on the best practice and facilitating any disciplinary or grievance meetings.
• Manage the recruitment and selection process: using the company Jobs page and Linked In to promote roles and approach candidates directly, liaising with recruitment agencies where necessary.
• Manage the starters & leavers process: manage the offer process, draft employment contracts and induction schedules, manage the onboarding process to ensure all new starters are full inducted into the business, manage the leavers process by conducting exit interviews and ensuring gifts are arranged.
• Manage ad-hoc administrative duties and ensure legal compliance: track monthly payroll changes and send to the accounts team for processing, drafting letters for contract changes, promotions, etc.
• Internal Communication: managing any company updates by emailing or using the company communication platform ‘Slack’. Ensuring all new starters are introduced and leavers are announced. Introducing a bi-annual staff survey and using the results of this to make recommendations.
• Employee Engagement: work with the management team to make proposals on ways to improve employee engagement, cross-department learning, inviting guest speakers to host talks, etc.
• Manage bi-annual remuneration review process with the co-founders: benchmarking salaries and making proposals for rewards, assessing and proposing company benefits offered.
• Recognition schemes: review and propose recognition schemes to support employee retention and performance.
• Nurture a positive working environment, including the promotion of equality and diversity.
• Manging the office environment: ensure the teams are maintaining a good standard of office tidiness and that they are packing away samples and gifting, arrange monthly welcome breakfasts
to welcome new starters, arrange monthly company meeting; ensuring diary invites are sent-out and drinks arranged for this event.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience at HR Manager level (essential)
• CIPD qualified level 5 or above (desired)
• Ability to architect short and long-term HR strategies to support company objectives
• Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to effectively manage relationships at all levels
• Excellent administration and organisational skills, a keen problem-solver.
• Flexible work approach, accuracy with great attention to detail.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and work to tight deadlines with the ability to manage multiple projects.
